Vendée Miniature
Vendée Miniature: rediscover your childlike spirit!
A plunge into the Vendée of the 1900s
Would you like to discover the Vendée in a different way? Head for Vendée Miniature, a 14-minute drive from the campsite. This exceptional site immerses you in the heart of our farming traditions, thanks to a 1/10th scale model of a village in the 1900s. It’s all there: the train station, small shops, craft stalls, windmill, village hall and even the church with its 3-meter-high bell tower.
Celebrating the art of model making
The Vendée Miniature park is the brainchild of two model-building enthusiasts, Yves and Marie-Françoise Aubron, who built the village using traditional materials such as slate, schist, lime, granite and terracotta. The couple have put their expertise at the service of a single objective: to amaze visitors while promoting the region’s cultural and architectural heritage. The gamble paid off, as Vendée Miniature proved a great success with young and old alike.
